In the beginning [Name removed by Sirelo] was fantastic. Promised us a truck and trailer for just our stuff. No sharing. The truck arrived with other people's furniture and no trailer, so not everything would fit. He promised to send the rest of the furniture 2 weeks later. That never happened, you can never get through, and no one answers or replies to emails. [Name removed by Sirelo] ignored our calls and took no responsibility. We had to get another company to transport the rest of our furniture costing us more money.
Utterly disgusting to do that to people. Will never recommend your company. Absolute crooks. You should be ashamed on how you run your business.

At first [Name removed by Sirelo] was very nice and helpful, until they arrived 4 hours late at pick up address. He did not answered my calls and when he did he was rude and lied about the reason for them being late.
They arrived a day and a half late at the new address during which time [Name removed by Sirelo] again did not answer any calls or dismissed my calls. Again [Name removed by Sirelo] was extremely rude, racial and threatening - even saying he will get our furniture thrown out of the truck, and sending me threatening messages. Telling my son that he knows where he lives and calling him names.
When the truck stopped a member of the public stopped behind them and a confrontation ensued. It seems like the driver tried to push this person of the road. The driver caused a very unpleasant screaming fight in front of our new residence.
When the truck eventually arrived after 8 on a Saturday evening I made a payment from my FNB account and sent the POP. He refused to accept it and said he wants immediate payment otherwise furniture will not be offloaded. As you can not do an immediate payment after hours to another bank, my husband made another payment for the same amount to FNB account provided by [Name removed by Sirelo] - I am sure this tactic has been used by them before to con people out of money.
When the truck was opened, not one piece of furniture was covered by the 125 blankets they claim to have on their trucks. All of our furniture was either scratched our broken and some boxes missing. The delivered a suitcase which were not ours, that contained ammunition - which I know is illegal to be transported by anyone else than the registered owner. Their employees are unprofessional, untidy and I am certain that none of them have any removal experience. They scratched walls and damage furniture even further when offloading and I had to tell them how to get the bed upstairs. When we asked the driver to inspect all the items with us - as they clearly state that all insurance related claims must be reported before the truck leaves - he refused, and when my son tried to convince him, he tried to run him over twice and threatened him with a screwdriver. Afterwards they claimed that my son's actions resulted in their truck's light (the truck arrived on scene with a broken light), bumper and mirror being damaged as the driver hit a tree - Please note that this was caused by their driver aggressively pursuing my son driving on the wrong side of the road. They refuse to refund our double payment.
Just some interesting facts about them: They claim to be established in 1961, but the company was only registered in 2017. [Name removed by Sirelo] claimed that the owner is [Name removed by Sirelo], but [Name removed by Sirelo] himself is registered as director and to date no contact information of [Name removed by Sirelo] could be given to us. There is no address on their website and on the invoice it is stated as 14 Grayston Ridge Office Park, Sandown - no one at this address knows about them. The address listed at CIPC is 113 Austin Street, Randfontein - but there is no such address.
The Standard Bank account used, is not in the name of Gauteng removals and storage, but in the name of [Name removed by Sirelo].
Please note that I have witnesses and proof of all the allegations made. In my opinion this is a one man show being run out of a garage. Their truck was actually fined for not complying to road rules at Vereeniging weighbridge and that was the reason for them being late at pick up. I would never recommend anyone using this company and to avoid any interaction with [Name removed by Sirelo] at all cost.
They quote bible verses on the correspondence, but they surely do not run their business according to biblical principles. I had a gut feeling when booking this move. They were not the cheapest but could assist on the dates.

It was aweful! They underestimated our load, our stuff didn’t fit & they shrugged their shoulders. I had to spend my last day in jhb finding a 1 way trailer to move what I could plus sell some really loved furniture. These guys took no responsibility. They changed their moving dates & times causing tremendous stress & anxiety & on day of arrival on the other side we couldn’t get hold of them at all, leaving us to think we’ve been scammed as they wanted payment upfront! I will never recommend them & have warned others about NEVER using them! Plus they damaged my furniture & they just don’t care! I can’t apparently claim for the damages!!

I received a quote from Gauteng Removals and Storage. I acted upon it and deposited money to secure space. The company cancelled on the day they were supposed to be returning with my furniture, I got a call from them requesting my banking details so that they can refund me. It has been a week of inconvenience, the company has not refunded me and they are not picking up my calls. I have been sending countless emails to the company following up on my refund They are not responding to my mail.

Morning. Apologies for the delay in refunding you. Refund was made from a different bank and it takes up to 2 days to reflect in your account. Proof Of Payment sent to you. And apologies once more for the delay. But it really was not up to us.

Well they were late the morning of the pickup. And they delivered very late without lights in the truck. Our quote changed and i needed to pay them more. And they requested i pay it before delivery. And when i try calling the boss of the place he ignores my calls. Up until today he never called back asking how our delivery did go. And the staff asked me if i have food for them before they left !
