What an absolute s**t show!!!
First: the Collection was over an hour late, i had meetings scheduled that day some of which i had to move and another cancel because i had to wait for these f****rs.
Second: the delivery to the destination was late by six days, i had to pay additional alternative accommodation for half that week, and slept in an empty house, on the floor for the remainder of the week.
Third: When my furniture was finally delivered (Sat 06th July around 19h00) from their Klerksdorp holding storage for which i had paid;
(i) i had lost some items, i.e. my bed base mid-railing was no where to be found which meant my bed would be useless as i could not assemble it without the mid-railing metal piece. I had to buy a new bed!!!
(ii) the bases of my three and two seater couches were dug-up and chewed-up, and the springs were exposed and what little remained had dog fur all over it.
(iii) some of my books were chewed up,
(iv) Some of the boxes i had used (pack my books in) had been changed, to bright yellow Simba Chips boxes, meaning my boxes must have gotten damaged.
When i contacted the person named Jaco, whose details i had been given, he lied through his teeth about him having an Uncle in Bloem whom he would send to collect my couches for repairs.
He spun me a story every time i phoned him him about my couches, and by the way we only spoke when i phoned him about the matter.
I spend an additional week living in an unpacked house (living room) waiting for the couches to be collected for repairs, until it was clear to me Jaco never had any intention of making good on his word and fixing my couches.
This is as succinctly as I can narrate my experience with City on the Move, a mistake that I shall never repeat in my life, nor will i ever allow anyone I know or care about make such a blunder.Read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone even my worst enemy. They are dishonest and they work with thieves. I lost furniture items that were stored at their premises and up until now I have not been helped. [Name removed by Sirelo] the owner went to open a case and even went to a lawyer but that case never went anywhere, instead he is giving me the run around and excuses and is even avoiding me on WhatsApp now. He promised me a sum of R30 000 for all the lost items that was in 2022 but till date I have not gotten a cent from him.

Poor service they moved us but some of my wife’s beauty equipment, son’s toys and my fishing gear didn’t reached the destination, I contacted them and no positive response from them I’ll not recommend them at all

If you are reading this you are probably (like I did) looking for reviews before committing to a moving company. I had about 10 quotes and City on the Move was one of 2 that I considered. I went with them due to the friendly and hearty service. [Name removed by Sirelo] and his VERY friendly team really made my moving experience worthwhile! He always kept me updated and were on time in picking up and dropping off. The team wrapped my furniture in plastics and they really handled with care. This is really the company to use!
