What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?
Transit insurance cover is additional to our move price at very competitive rates. Should an item be lost / damaged we have our own liability in place for the uninsured clients as per our T's & C's and we offer All Risks cover on complete households
What is the best advice you would give to customers?
Never go with the cheapest as cheap is never better in our industry

We moved in March this year and all was fine until Iron Horses subcontractor Get Cracking in Dublin who does the clearance of the cars and furniture.
I have never experienced such an incompetent company / individuals as Get Cracking and no support in trying to resolve their delays from Iron Horse.
To cut a long story short and with the help of the Ireland Revenue Port Manager we were able to get our goods cleared.
But not without paying R200 thousand additional costs due to late clearance.

Exceptional personalised service highly recommends! Immigrating is extremely stressful not to mention when a global pandemic is thrown into the mix. We were met by [Name removed by Sirelo], the director of the company a few days after our initial inquiry who personally drove all the way from Cape Town to L’Agulhas to survey our household contents. We were impressed by his professionalism and his willingness to offer honest, sound advice. His personal involvement in his business assured us that we were going to be cared for and were in good hands.
Every question and uncertainty were answered with empathy and patience, no problem was too big. Communication lines were always open even on WhatsApp. We received the same exceptional level of service from his team co-ordinated by [Name removed by Sirelo], they were efficient and thorough. What struck me most was that they were smiling from the moment they arrived at our home until they left in their truck and the job was done.

Very reliable, they were half an hour late but did not hesitate to contact me before the time to let me know they were running a bit behind. Staff were friendly and kept their distance due to the COVID conditions. Everyone wore their masks. They were so quick, careful and really knew exactly what they were doing. Our company was moved in a matter of a few hours.

I don’t even know where to begin actually. Moving is one of the most stressful things to do.
[name removed by Sirelo] made my move the smoothest process ever. I was a damsel in distress trying to figure so many things out at once when I had to
move, and I was blown away by his efficiency and response time.
From the time I submitted an online query, [name removed by Sirelo] was on top of his game. Everything was done and signed in under 30 mins and he kept me in the
loop constantly. The forms were also so neat, simple and user friendly.
He had availability in a week from when I wanted to move as his company is very busy, but managed to assist me at short notice as I needed to move urgently. The team came in, packed everything up for me in boxes and quality wrapping. I am so glad that I found Iron Horse Relocations. What an absolute pleasure to deal with- WOW!!!! What I thought was going to be so stressful turned out to be a such breeze.
The whole team went above and beyond for me. I have moved a lot, and it’s really nice to now know that I now have a mover for life.
