What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

We have All Risk insurance available for all International and Local moves. If damages are experienced, the client needs to advise us within 7 days of receiving the delivery and we will then put them in touch with the Claims department to assist with the claim process.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

It is important to consider various aspects to ensure a smooth and succesful transition. Here are a few Tips to consider: 1. Plan Ahead 2. Research: 3. De-Clutter 4. Budget 5.Have a plan for emergencies 6. Be organised Each move is unique, so adapt to your circumstances. Professional advise will contribute to a succesful relocation experience.

The packers were amazing and the staff lovely. BUT they delivered my shipment 5 weeks late!!! All their competitors work in a 8 to 10 week lead time from SA to UK, but Magna Thompson say 5. I queried this 3 times and each time their sales person told me it was fine. I understand delays but they give you a lead time to get you to support them. My advice DONT, if I did this again I would go with Elliot’s who were much more transparent with costs and lead times. I have never had an apology from Magna Thompson on the late delivery!

Amazing service from start to finish. We did not ship a lot, but what we shipped was very important to us and everything arrived on time and safe.
Extremely helpful staff and we were always kept informed of every step.

Their post payment service was terrible. It's cost me an additional $6400 (AUD) over and above the payment made to Magna Thomson in South Africa, which as per contract was the all in payment for the move. The container arrived in Brisbane 21/12/2022. They changed collecting agents, after I followed up with them on 21/12/2022 for the expected delivery date. They did not notify the new agents of the container had already arrived in Brisbane. So it sat in customs until 28/12/2022. I've had to follow up with them constantly. Their lack of accountability, assistance and efficiency and also led to me not having received my furniture over a month later from our agreed / discussed dates. To date I'm still waiting for my furniture to be delivered. On the positive side Conroy Removals in Brisbane have been great in providing updates and feedback.

I used Mega Thomson as I had previously used Thomson before the take over of Mega. They were not cheap but thought it was worth giving them ago this time. Big mistake. Besides shocking communications well best no communications. But the stuff being moved was pieces over 200 years of age and other antiques. I would not have moved anything down the road packed that way let alone to the other side of the world. I would recommend them to move a sack of potatoes. If you have anything of value or of any sentimental value I would not recommend this company at all.. I was not just disgusted I was furious. You as a company are not dealing with people's stuff it's people's lives it means something to them.. I wouldn't recommend them at all certainly not at their cost and service or lack of.

[names removed by Sirelo] were in constant contact with us once the furniture was collected in South Africa. The packers were were unbelievably efficient and most accommodating and most friendly. The job they did was truly fantastic. On arrival in USA, [name removed by Sirelo] was most accommodating and also kept us abreast of matters in USA. The furniture was delivered only one week after arriving in Miami. The three removal staff were helpful, very efficient and had our entire furniture and boxes offloaded emptied and cleared in exactly 4 hours. Absolutely amazing! One of the staff even commented on how well packed everything had been. Kudos to the entire staff in South Africa and USA!! It was indeed a pleasure having your help and make our move seamless. You rock!!!!!
