Operating for over 98years, we have a strong and solid foundation with well trained staff and a reliable fleet. As the largest independent movers in South Africa, we aim to offer the most competitive service in the industry and can reach almost any corner of South and Southern Africa by road directly door to door and not subcontract.

What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

Unlike others in our industry who may only offer GIT with limited cover, Biddulphs offers all risk cover for domestic, office and international removals. More information is available on our website or one of our friendly consultants can assist you at any office.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

It is important to thoroughly research your chosen removal company. We highly recommend researching past and current performance and independent reviews. Financial risk is also important when you pay for your move and we highly recommend you choose a strong stable company such as Biddulphs that goes through regular rigorous stress tests (e.gg. FIDI FAIM accreditations) and standards (e.g. AMOSA, BAR, IAM, ISO) checks to ensure we remain a leader in our industry.

I was very pleased with the efficiency of the staff who packed all my items neatly upon collection, and those who redelivered my consignment quickly and neatly to my new address.. the items were all present and well preserved after 8 months in storage, and the staff were very friendly and helpful when they helped me to unpack and arrange my furniture, they reassembled a number of items expertly for me and were generally very kind, I also received comprehensive replies to my many queries and overall found this company professional and affordable.

Terrible! Packers too tired by the afternoon, then said they ran out of tape.. we rushed out to buy tape just so that they could finish packing, still left stuff behind, had to make several calls for them to fetch stuff. Quoted an amount, then the company wanted extra once they had our belongings and we had to pay extra once the container arrived in Canada. Some of our goods arrived in Canada broken, damaged and missing. We are now dealig with the Insurance company, which is also not very responsive. I will never recommend using Biddulphs Durban!
