1139We made use of Eezi Move Furniture Removals (pty) ltd just over 2 years ago. Several of our furniture was damaged due to valuable items not wrapped as per quote and valuable items like a piano and hand carved rosewood table packed between metal outside furniture (on an open trailer- we were quite shocked) that damaged the packaging. They also arrived very late 4:30 pm in the winter and had to do a lot of off loading after dark (we moved from a 650 square meter house which is a big load). We only heard afterwards from other people that they refused for Eezi Move to off load so late, so they insisted on them offloading the next day. If only we knew.
Anyway, after not getting it resolved (they were not wiling to give me R 7500 for damages) I referred the matter to the National Consumer Commission and then to the NCT (National Consumer Tribunal). I won the case at the NCT and they were found guilty.
Eezi Move then went ahead to do an Appeal at the Hight Court. Eezi Move was successful at the High Court as we were not going to spent money to oppose it. How do you go to the High Court anyway for R 7500 ? Anyway, the information stays on the NCT site for customers and the public to see. They were found guilty according to the Consumer Protection Act.
I see here is also other customers treated in the same way. It seems like sometimes they do get it right and other times they don't. Will def not use them again, although this was not our first time using them. It was definitely not the same experience.Read more

Poor service and communication
I have revised my original complaint about Eezimove Removals blocking out names following my error in this regard. The content does not change and I challenge Eezimove to say that it is false. I have email correspondence in this regard directed to them for which there has not been a response. Equally, when this matter was raised on this platform there was promises 4 times of me to expect a response bug it never materialized.
Below is my complaint as originally posted with names blocked out.
Before I consider using other fora to share my negative experience with Eezimove Removals, I felt that I should afford you the opportunity to reflect on my complaint and consider whether it is meritorious. I am convinced that ???? I dealt with is the same ???? that messed up my quotations in 2021 and continues to be poor in customer service.
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recent relocation service provided by Eezimove Furniture Removals, which unfortunately resulted in damage to just one item being a fridge and the ensuing distressing customer service experience with ????.
This month, I engaged Eezimove for my relocation (few items) from Cape Town to Pretoria. Despite initially being impressed by the professionalism exhibited by ????, the Eezimove Consultant overseeing the process, I am deeply disappointed with the outcome of the relocation.
Despite meticulous packaging using cardboard, bubble wrap, and cling wrap, a refrigerator of mine sustained damage during transit. Upon bringing this issue to ???? attention, the demeanor shifted drastically from professional to robotic and unresponsive. Rather than engaging with empathy and concern, this person merely referred me to the terms and conditions that limit transit insurance liability.
This abrupt dismissal of my concerns and the refusal to acknowledge the damage in a meaningful manner is wholly unacceptable. As a customer, I expected transparency, accountability, and a willingness to address issues promptly and effectively. Instead, I was met with indifference and a lack of empathy.
Furthermore, ???? failure to provide adequate support and resolution demonstrates a concerning disregard for customer satisfaction and retention. It is alarming to think that other clients may face similar challenges and be met with the same dismissive attitude.
I urge Eezimove Furniture Removals to take this complaint seriously and to conduct a thorough investigation into the handling of my relocation, as well as the subsequent handling of my complaint. Additionally, I implore the Company to reassess its customer service protocols and ensure that all staff members, including ????, are equipped to handle customer concerns with care, empathy, and professionalism.
Moving forward, I request prompt resolution of the damage claim and a formal apology for the inconvenience and distress caused. Additionally, I encourage Eezimove to take proactive measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future and to prioritize customer satisfaction and service excellence.
I trust that you will give this matter the attention it deserves and take appropriate action to address my concerns. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.
Sincerely,

The driver will try extort more money from you when he arrives demanding more money to fill the truck you already paid for up.
You call the office and the secretary is as helpful as a music sheet to a blind man and has the conflict resolution skills of dirty dish water.
The only reason I didn't lay a charge of fraud against them is after finding the CEO name and speaking to a manager they 'agreed' to fill the truck up.
They were paid to pack - their version of packing is taking your drawers out and throwing everything on the ground for you to pick up after and stuffing random stuff into half broken boxes.
They wrap things nicely but that is honestly it.
Bad company, bad attitude, bad service rather go somewhere else more professional and pleasant
The response to my complaint was 'It Is with a heavy heart that we hereby inform you that we will not be accepting liability for the damages communicated to us.' On their website, they state that 'All Eezi Move trucks are equipped with packer blankets.' to protect your load. This is not true. I have 4 witnesses who can testify that not a single blanket was used to protect any furniture.
The staff were extremely unprofessional and started asking for tips on their arrival.
It started raining while they off-loaded at the destination, and I asked them to cover the furniture while it was being transported on the shuttle that I provided, and they simply ignored me. So, I have water damage as well on most of my wooden furniture.
Apart from all the scratches on almost all my furniture, they managed to break pieces of wood from my bookshelf with the wood shavings still on the bookshelf after they offloaded; bent the legs of my bed's base; scraped the handles from my fridge that it looks as if it has been sanded with a machine to make it fit; the white enamel was scraped off both sides of the fridge, as well as the front and one side of my washing machine; forced boxes into my wall unit which resulted (apart from the damage to the wall unit), in boxes with the black paint from the wall unit on it which proves that they boxes were forced into the wall unit; forced the bowl of my lawn mower into my laundry basket and broke the laundry basket in the process, etc. etc. etc. The list is endless. I would never have thought that it could be so 'eezi' to damage furniture that you are entrusted with without blinking an eye.Read more
